Heart-healthy cooking

What are heart-healthy fats?

Unsaturated fats, like olive oil, avocado, nuts, and fatty fish such as salmon, are generally considered heart-healthier than saturated fats from butter, fatty meat, and fried food. Swapping one for the other in everyday cooking, olive oil instead of butter, nuts instead of chips, is an easy place to start. This is general information, not medical advice, and your own needs should come from your doctor.
